What can a 1 kWh power station actually support?
A rated watt-hour number is only the beginning. This example keeps battery energy, daily consumption, inverter output, startup demand, and emergency reserve separate.
The four questions are different
Energy asks how long the battery can support a schedule. Continuous output asks whether the inverter can run the selected devices at once. Startup output asks whether a motor can start while the other loads are running. Reserve decides how much energy you intentionally leave unused.
A power station can have enough energy for the day and still fail a startup event. It can also have a large inverter but too little stored energy for the desired runtime.
A visible 1,024 Wh example
Start with a fully charged 1,024 Wh station, hold back a 10% emergency reserve, and apply the calculator's disclosed 15% conversion-and-variation allowance:

At that entered schedule, 783 Wh supports about 12.2 hours. This does not mean the refrigerator runs continuously for eight hours; it means the model budgets eight total running hours across a day. Measure your own appliance cycle instead of treating the preset as universal.
The startup check can be the real limiter
The example loads total 162 W when running together. If the refrigerator is entered at 1,000 startup watts, the conservative startup check adds its 880 W startup increment to the other running loads:

Real devices may not overlap, labels may differ from measured behavior, and power-station surge specifications use different conditions and time windows. Verify both current manuals and test the actual combination.
The buy-nothing outcome
If the modeled runtime is short, first reduce overlapping loads, shorten discretionary schedules, and measure the refrigerator cycle. More disciplined load management can be more valuable than immediately adding battery capacity.
If output clears and the revised schedule lasts through the outage target, use the equipment you own and rehearse the plan. If it still misses, the calculator will show whether the gap is energy, continuous output, startup output, or recharge—not merely “more watts.”
